About Reference Corporation

Welcome to Reference Corporation. From our offices in Seattle, Washington, we offer information services, online reference databases, reference book publications, training, and support to libraries and end users worldwide. Our products support interdisciplinary research and study in World Area Studies, delivering bibliographic coverage of traditional sources as well as access to an extensive collection of primary source documents.

Founded in 1989, Reference Corporation published the Asia Pacific Database (DIALOG File 30--still growing after almost two decades of continuous service) and associated reference books on business, technology and trade in the Asia-Pacific region. In 1992, Reference Corporation acquired Middle East, Abstracts and Index, an annual multi-volume reference set that has set the standard for Middle East bibliography since first published in 1978. Reference Corporation has produced other reference works, including the complete text of the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials (72 volumes on one CD-ROM), as well as bibliographies on Women in the Middle East and North Africa, Refugees, Kurdistan, and the multi-volume Al-Qaeda and Jihadi Movements Worldwide (74 volumes as of Autumn 2013).

In 2011, Reference Corporation released the Middle East & Africa Database, comprising the complete backfile of Middle East, Abstracts and Index, and a vast amount of additional information, including the complete text of hundreds of thousands of primary source materials.

Reference Corporation is also proud to announce that four new databases will be released in 2013-2014 as part of its World Area Studies reference resource series: the Eurasia Atlantic Database, the Multiculturalism & Ethnic Policy Database, the and Tordesilla: the Hispanic & Lusitanian World Database.
