Iraqi Kurdistan, 2012-2022. (2022) 2 vol. 1077p.

Iraqi Kurdistan covers the emergence of the Kurdish region in Iraq as a viable statelet, based on its oil revenue (disputed) and military strength (challenged). Iraqi Kurds engaged in years of struggle against the Islamic State, and contiue to cofront them after the destruction of the physical caliphate. Iraqi Kurdistan keeps itself as distant as possible from the Turkish-Kurds of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), who often cross the border fom Turkey into Iraq, and the Rojava movement of Syrian-Kurds. The Iraqi Kurds are more focused on (sub) national development than on seeking unnecessay conflict. (46E3-147, 46E4-148)
